After graduating from Nottingham Trent School of Art and Design with a degree in Graphics, Jess went to London to work in the hustle-and-bustle world of film, television, and theatre. She worked in the art and set decorating department but has always wanted something of her own and to be her own boss.
She moved back to the East Midlands to fulfil a long-held desire of setting up her own creative studio.
Jess now writes and illustrates children’s books, picks up her pen and chameleons through a range of projects as an artist, a storyboard artist, illustrator and designer. She also runs creative workshops for both adults and young people.
The Creative Child
'Creativity has always been a part of my way of living. Simply meandering creatively through life - from painting murals in school corridors I have always had the ability to immerse herself in any creative challenge'
The Counselling Student
'I am someone who has always been deeply empathetic. I currently work at Embrace charity providing Trauma Informed Emotional Support and i'm studying a Level 2 counselling course at Stamford College. The world of therapy strongly informs my creative work'
The Artist
'Painting is behind my creative projects, I refer back to this process making sure my work is always relevant and developing, I love working in more of a realist style often experimenting with fabric textures'
The Studio Chief Executive Officer
His majesty Toto Oliver-Wallington Wojcicki. (Yes he is named after Toto from wizard of Oz) He works in the studio headquarters, eating snacks and having naps. He will never read emails, he might sometimes attend a zoom call if he can be bothered but all major company decisions land with him. His career began at the Globe Theatre prop department at about 10 weeks old. He has since worked on ‘The Gentlemen’ Netflix series, as well as ‘Industry’ 3.
He is the highest earning of the company at the age of just 2. His favourite thing is overseeing the payment of invoices because that’s when he can go and buy some new goodies at pets corner.
